TRAIN YOUR MIND AND IMPROVE YOUR BODY
That’s why we want to highlight some of them so that you can encourage yourself to try different disciplines that will help you feel better. On this occasion, we will focus on the so-called body and mind activities.
In Yoga classes, through the asanas (postures) and meditation, a state of inner peace is achieved that offers serenity and stability at a physical and mental level, which facilitates the connection with the present moment, generating greater awareness of the environment and oneself.
In addition, because many of the postures and movements are slow, the emphasis is placed on breathing during the performance of the same, thus increasing relaxation through the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. In this way, we seek to recover complete natural breathing, altered many times by the stress of day today.
In relation to physical condition, perseverance in practice improves flexibility and increases joint mobility, thus reducing the tension caused by poor posture and daily stress.
In Pilates, the improvement of physical condition and posture is emphasized, as well as the increase in control and concentration capacity. The breathing, very important aspect in this discipline also, contributes to the activation of the central area of the body, called Power House, which offers stability to the trunk avoiding unnecessary movements of the spine.
Constancy in practice helps to improve posture, which becomes more stable, achieving greater freedom and balance in the different movements of the body. When this occurs, joint and muscle pain diminish or even disappear, generating higher levels of self-confidence and a sense of well-being.
Healthy back, Stretching or Body Balance are other activities that contribute to a physical and mental improvement through the knowledge of one’s own body. All these activities are the perfect complement to others of greater intensity, in which there must always be a correct postural control that serves as a basis to enhance other abilities such as strength or endurance.
For all this, the importance of training the mind to improve the body is highlighted. Both aspects must go hand in hand to effectively achieve the proposed objectives.
Do not wait any longer and go ahead and try some of them. Surely you’ll find yourself better.
